Waga Energy supplies RNG produced by its innovative WAGABOX® purification technology under long-term offtake agreements.
Renewable natural gas produced by WAGABOX® units is a renewable substitute for fossil natural gas in all of its uses as a fuel.

RNG is a renewable substitute for fossil natural gas. With the same energy properties, it can replace fossil natural gas in all uses as a fuel, both domestic and industrial. RNG is injected directly into the natural gas transmission pipeline and replaces fossil natural gas while reducing up to 90% of greenhouse gas emissions. This renewable fuel plays a vital role in sustainable energy strategies and enhances fuel diversity across natural gas projects.
RNG originates from raw biogas produced by anaerobic digestion of organic matter such as food waste, energy crops, and other organic waste. Anaerobic digester systems at wastewater treatment plants or solid waste landfills capture methane emissions and convert them into biomethane. This process not only limits methane leakage but also reduces methane and carbon dioxide release into the atmosphere. In addition, landfill RNG projects and other RNG projects from thermal gasification of organic waste or product gas streams demonstrate the scalability of renewable fuel standard compliance. The upgrading of biogas into biomethane is central to these processes and ensures the capture of methane that would otherwise escape into the air.
RNG derived from landfill gas helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions, reduces fine particle emissions by 95%, and reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 50% compared to gasoline or diesel. As a renewable fuel, it can also be used in natural gas vehicles, supporting fuel diversity while helping to decarbonize transportation. By leveraging natural gas production through biogas upgrading, RNG contributes to lower carbon intensity and improved air quality. The production of RNG avoids additional methane emissions by transforming them into useful energy.
We are dedicated to ensuring that RNG is priced competitively, making it a viable substitute for fossil natural gas. With the innovative WAGABOX® technology, we efficiently upgrade landfill gas, a byproduct of waste storage, into renewable natural gas at a competitive rate, positioning our work at the forefront of RNG news and natural gas projects worldwide. WAGABOX® technology captures biogas from landfills and transforms it into pipeline-quality RNG, supporting global decarbonization.
In addition to its reduced environmental footprint, the production cost of renewable natural gas is stable and is minimally impacted by fluctuations in other energy sources, enhancing energy independence. Furthermore, the production of a local source of energy reduces gas transportation costs, improves power security, and supports carbon reduction goals. Local biogas upgrading plants strengthen communities’ access to clean energy and reduce dependence on fossil imports.
