Mathieu Lefebvre completed engineering studies at École Centrale Marseille and spent 11 years with the Air Liquide Group where he developed the biogas business and contributed to France’s first methanation projects. He co-founded Waga Energy Group in 2015 with Nicolas Paget and Guénaël Prince. Waga Energy utilizes innovative technology to generate renewable natural gas, a clean, renewable, and locally sourced energy, from biogas emitted from landfills. Mr. Lefebvre, the Chairman of Waga Energy, also works to develop the renewable natural gas sector through the National Biogas Committee.

Guénaël Prince is Co-Founder of Waga Energy, Managing Director of Waga Energy USA, Group Technical and R&D Director. Following his studies at ParisTech, Grenoble IAE and IFP School, Prince began his career at Sofregaz. Four years later, he joined Air Liquide, where he contributed to the development of its biogas purification business. In 2015, Guénaël Prince, Mathieu Lefebvre, and Nicolas Paget established Waga Energy: a leader in converting biogas from household waste into renewable natural gas. Mr. Prince leads the company’s R&D activities and has been managing the U.S. subsidiary since 2019.

Arnaud Delattre is an agricultural engineer with considerable experience in business start-ups. Mr. Delattre has held numerous management positions at Boston Consulting Group, Saresco, and Christofle. In 2008, he founded Starquest Capital, an investment fund that specializes in start-ups with a strong environmental impact. Delattre was an angel investor for five years, investing in 12 companies with an IRR of 13.8%.

Stéphane Assuied is a chartered accountant with a master's degree in taxation. He began his career in 1989 as an auditor with Price Waterhouse before he joined the ONET Group, first as part of the overhaul of the company’s information systems, then as head of external growth operations in the industrial cleaning, security, and temporary-employment sectors. In 2003, he assumed control of Interfirm M&A. He set up the Jericho investment company in 2005, before co-founding Tertium, a development-capital fund that supports regional businesses by strengthening their equity and ensuring their continuity by organizing their transmission.

Marie Bierent holds an engineering degree from Mines de Douai and an MSC in environmental engineering and business management from Imperial College London. Mrs. Bierent has several years of experience in the environmental and landfill sectors and international development. She is co-manager of Le Saules, which is a holding company that invests in the environmental sector. Le Saules is also a shareholder in Waga Energy. Mrs. Bierent is involved in Waga Energy’s executive committee, strategy, operations, and shareholder policies.

Anne Lapierre is a lawyer and partner in charge of the energy department at Norton Rose Fulbright in Paris. She is also co-head of the Casablanca office and the firm's global practice, which has 1,000 lawyers dedicated to the energy sector in 56 offices worldwide. Mrs. Lapierre focuses her practice on the development of infrastructure and energy projects, both conventional and renewable. Over her career, Mrs. Lapierre has worked on numerous innovative projects in France and Africa. She has expertise in solar and wind energy, and advising developers, industrial clients, banks, and investment funds.

Dominique Gruson, a graduate of Ecole Centrale Paris, worked for Air Liquide for 31 years in management positions. He now works for a management consultancy firm and is co-director of a company specializing in costume jewelry. Mr. Gruson is an independent director of Waga Energy.

Olivier Aubert is a civil engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the gas and electricity sector. In 2012, after 15 years in international business development, he became deputy CEO of GRTgaz, the French natural gas transmission system operator. He has led the development of biomethane (renewable natural gas) injection in France since 2012 and launched France's first power-to-gas project (Jupiter 1000). In 2019, he founded SWEN Impact Fund for Transition (SWIFT), the first private-equity fund dedicated to producing and distributing biomethane in Europe. Since 2019, this fund has financed investments in more than 250 biomethane production and distribution facilities currently being produced, built, or developed in 12 European countries.

Christilla de Moustier is a partner with Fremman Capital, a member of the investment committee, and responsible for Waga Energy’s ESG initiatives. She spent 23 years in the private equity industry. Before joining Fremman in 2021, Ms. de Moustier spent 10 years as an independent consultant, supporting and advising private equity firms on investor relations and fundraising. Earlier, she spent 12 years with PAI Partners, where she was head of investor relations. Ms. De Moustier also worked as an auditor with Arthur Andersen and was a business lawyer with Archibald Andersen. Christilla is a graduate of ESCP Europe and holds a master's degree in law and the Certificat d'Aptitude à la Profession d'Avocat (CAPA). She is also an auditor of the Session Politique de Défense de l'IHEDN.

Séverine Adami is Chief Financial Officer of Air Liquide's Innovation and Development division and Managing Director of ALIAD. Ms. Adami has 20 years of experience in industry and consulting. Before joining Air Liquide in 2016, she spent eight years at Lafarge in strategy and business development, M&A, and finance roles, mainly in emerging geographies. Previously, she worked as a strategy and management consultant (Bossard-Gemini Consulting, Kea & Partners), specifically on sales and marketing issues in international contexts. She is a graduate of the Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon and INSEAD.

Anna Creti is a professor at Paris Dauphine University, where she is the climate economics chair (Dauphine University) and the natural gas economics chair (Dauphine University, Toulouse School of Economics, IFPEN, Ecole des Mines). She is also a research fellow at the École Polytechnique, Paris, and affiliated with the Siebel Institute, Berkeley. She is a member of the Scientific and Expert Committee of the Observatoire de la Finance Durable, the ACPR AMF Finance Durable Working Group, the ACPR-Banque de France Scientific Committee, and the Scientific Committee of the Ambition Climate project at Caisse des Dépôts. Creti holds a Ph.D. from the Toulouse School of Economics and a post-doctoral degree from the London School of Economics. She has conducted in-depth studies of the competition and regulation of public services in Europe, as well as the link between energy, climate, and environmental regulation. She is the coeditor of the journal Energy Economics and is regularly published in leading economic journals and appears in other media.

Nicolas Paget, a materials engineer with a degree from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC), gained valuable experience working on significant industrial projects at Technip. He later joined Air Liquide, where he played a crucial role in designing and constructing France's first biogas purification units. Mr. Paget, along with Mathieu Lefebvre and Guénaël Prince, embarked on a journey to explore simple and cost-effective methods for purifying biogas from landfill sites to extract valuable biomethane (RNG). Their innovative solution, a world first, led to the creation of Waga Energy in 2015. Within this rapidly growing company, Nicolas Paget now leads the charge in designing and building biogas purification units that yield high-quality biomethane.

Marie-Amélie is responsible for the administrative and financial management of Waga Energy. A graduate of Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM), she was previously financial controller for the Rio Tinto mining group and for CEA.

Francesca Consorti specializes in structuring and financing complex and innovative projects to support the energy transition. After starting her career at Société Générale, Francesca joined Green Giraffe in 2012, first in Paris and then in Hamburg, where she structured the financing of two offshore wind farm projects. She holds a master's degree in economics and finance from Paris Dauphine and the Victoria Unit in Wellington.

Martin Tramoy holds a master's degree in QHSE and is responsible for Waga Energy's quality, safety, and environment policies, which he defines, adapts, and improves in line with the general strategy and the company's external and internal challenges. From 2006-2021, Julie Flynn developed cutting-edge expertise in biogas and hydrogen engineering at Air Liquide. Ms. Flynn studied chemical engineering and taught at McGill University. She has long been convinced of how incredibly useful renewable gases are in the energy transition. She joined Waga Energy in 2021 as CEO of the Waga Energy Canadian subsidiary. Ms. Flynn actively promotes the role of women in engineering through the Canadian Women in Engineering movement.

Baptiste Usquin, CEO of Waga Energy Spain, holds a master's degree in management from Neoma Business School and a master's degree in water management from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona. Mr. Usquin began his career in Spain with an industrial company specializing in roof tiles, and later began his career in the energy sector, joining the Electrabel group (now part of ENGIE) in Paris in 2008. He subsequently joined Aguas de Barcelona, where he held a number of positions, initially as energy contract manager and later energy product manager. In 2017, Mr. Usquin took a global position as category manager within Suez's purchasing department in Paris. Since August 2021, Mr. Usquin has been CEO of Waga Energy in Spain, an industrial gas company that has developed unique technology for converting landfill biogas into biomethane.

Will Llewellyn has been at the heart of the United Kingdom biogas and Renewable Natural Gas sector since 2009. Working in technical and commercial roles to board level, Will has a fundamental understanding of the nuances associated with biogas, landfill gas and biomethane markets. Will has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and French at the University of Manchester, and during his studies, spent a year in France studying carbon sequestration in deep oceans. Prior to working in the renewable energy sector, Will spent 10 years as a shipbroker in the City of London transporting refined oil products and liquid biofuels throughout North West Europe. The combination of Will’s fundamental technical understanding of the biomethane sector combined with his proven commercial and strategic acumen honed in the shipping and UK biogas sectors is put to good use in the development of the UK and Irish landfill gas to biomethane markets with Waga Energy.

Andrea Baldini, CEO of Waga Energy Italy, is a passionate, goal-oriented professional with more than a decade's experience in business development and marketing in international renewable energy and environmental services. An enthusiastic and open-minded environmentalist, he focuses on achieving company objectives while considering the sustainable and ethical values of the individual and the company. With a master's degree in commercial marketing and business strategy from the University of Parma, he began his career with 10 years in international sales of biogas and harmful emission storage systems, acting as a liaison between the company and its customers. Later, he was coordinator of the sales team of an EPC company involved in the construction of biogas plants. As the leader of Waga Energy in Italy, he develops all aspects of the company's presence, from business planning and strategy to marketing, personnel management, territory management, competitive analysis, and more.
