Waga Energy has signed an agreement with Bioreciclaje de Cadiz and Enagas Renovable to produce Renewable Natural Gas in Andalusia. The project will be developed at the Miramundo–Los Hardales environmental complex.
Waga Energy will finance, build, and operate a purification unit using its WAGABOX® technology. The plant, scheduled to be commissioned in 2027, will produce up to 288 000 GJ of RNG per year—enough to supply around 16,000 Spanish households—while avoiding 21,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
This project strengthens Waga Energy’s contribution to the development of renewable natural gas in Spain, by turning landfill gas into a local and renewable energy source.
“Thanks to this new agreement with Waga Energy and Enagás Renovable, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to sustainable development by supporting a circular economy that turns waste into resources.”
