Fives, a global leader in industrial engineering, and Waga Energy have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen their partnership and accelerate the deployment of WAGABOX® units.
This agreement establishes a long-term partnership between two leading players, aimed at optimizing the design and manufacturing of WAGABOX® units, a patented technology developed by Waga Energy. These units transform landfill gas into RNG, a renewable substitute for fossil natural gas, while incorporating Fives’ advanced technological solutions.
A pioneer in cryogenics and the world’s leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, Fives plays a key role in the performance of WAGABOX® units. These heat exchangers are essential components of the cryogenic distillation module, tailored to the specific requirements of each project. Fives’ expertise also supports Waga Energy in standardizing its equipment to ensure reliable and competitive production.
WAGABOX® units play a pivotal role in the energy transition by harnessing methane from landfill waste and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. This contributes to combating climate change by converting a by-product of waste treatment into a competitive renewable gas accessible to businesses and individuals.
Building on this partnership with Fives, Waga Energy aims to strengthen its international growth in Europe and North America. Together, the two companies combine their expertise to drive a sustainable energy transition and deploy innovative solutions on a global scale.
“To meet the challenges posed by climate change, we need to bring together the world’s best expertise. Fives, a technological leader in cryogenics for over 65 years, and Waga Energy, a specialist in the upgrade of renewable natural gas from landfill waste, are perfect examples of this synergy. We are delighted to be supporting them in this project, which will accelerate the energy transition”
