The first WAGABOX® was commissioned on February 14, 2017, at the Coved landfill in Saint-Florentin, France. It is the first plant in Europe to inject biomethane from landfill gas into the natural gas grid.
This technological achievement marks the culmination of ten years of R&D, within Air Liquide and Waga Energy. WAGABOX® will provide 20 GWh of energy per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 3,000 households, and will avoid 4,000 tons of CO2 emission of per year by substituting fossil gas.

WAGABOX® will supply about 3,000 households with renewable gas.
