Il est bas\u2011carbone car il s&rsquo;inscrit dans le cycle court du carbone : le CO2 \u00e9mis lors de sa combustion correspond \u00e0 celui capt\u00e9 par la biomasse lors de sa croissance, contrairement au gaz fossile qui lib\u00e8re du carbone s\u00e9questr\u00e9 depuis des millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es. Il est neutre et il \u00e9vite l\u2019\u00e9mission de m\u00e9thane, un gaz \u00e0 effet de serre tr\u00e8s puissant.
