The ribbon was cut on the third WAGABOX® unit on June 29, 2018 at the Pavie, France landfill, which is operated by mixed-economy company Trigone.
Around 120 people came out to see the unit, which was commissioned on May 15, 2018. It is currently the only unit in the Occitanie region to inject biomethane into the grid.
The WAGABOX® will produce 15 GWh per year, enough to supply around 2,000 households with renewable gas.
Trigone is the first mixed-economy company to adopt the innovation.
