For its first participation in the Pollutec trade show, Waga Energy received the First Prize in the 2016 Fighting Climate Change Awards, a distinction attributed by Ademe, the French Environment & Energy Management Agency, and the Ministry of Environment, as part of the 2016 Business & Environment Awards.

Waga Energy is also one of the three winners of the Innovation Showcase, a competition organized at the show to promote innovative companies in the environmental sector.

These awards testify to the interest aroused by our project among environmental stakeholders. In a context of climate emergency, they will help us to deploy on a large scale our innovative solution to produce energy from the pollution generated by landfills,” said Mathieu Lefebvre, co-founder and CEO Waga Energy.

Last September, Waga Energy was elected start-up of the year 2016 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes by EY and L’Express magazine.
